Blog down your business
When my competitors 30 of them, relentlessly ganged up on my ads, flagged me, and spammed the entire section, well at first I got pretty ticked off. Then, I got entirely even. I developed this program to remove them. I also learned the ins and outs of posting, hiding, and resetting my flagging threshold. But while meditating on the situation at hand, wondering what in the heavens am I failing to realize, why is this kind of antagonism allowed in my life? I educated myself, I advanced myself, I create nice things, better than the others. WHY AREN’T MY ADS FLAGGED “BEST OF CRAIGSLIST”?? Because they certainly are. But instead I stand apart from the crowd, and they tear it down like rabid dogs.
During a moment of clarity, I recalled something I read one day that made a lot of sense all of a sudden. Its a scripture from Matthew 22:44. “Sit thou on my right hand – Take the place of the greatest eminence and authority. Till I make thine enemies thy footstool” I may be a little presumptuous to assume very much, but is not my creativity, and unique application of intelligence near the right hand of our creator? I do believe so, yes. So then where is my footstool? It must be here somewhere. Then it all became apparent to me in a flash! Wordpress. I had long avoided the blog although its SEO benefits were astounding. I am a web developer, and these autoblogs are distasteful to me. I can do better with raw html. But, I realized they can have a purpose as a small not really structural part of my websites. I found a piece of software called Rss to Blog. It takes nearly any RSS feed, and autoposts it on a nice little schedule you enter into the user interface as you set up a new project within it. (you can also use RSS in page, wordpress plugin for free) But here is the kicker… you take an RSS feed from the sections your competition is spamming, and you auto post it all in your blog.
Did you know Craigslist will generate an RSS feed link for nearly every search you do? It’s at the bottom right hand corner. But before the content from the feed ever lands in your blog, you take a plugin that you install into wordpress, try wordfilter plus (an oldie but still good), and rewrite all their ads! Their phone numbers turn into your phone numbers, their company names turn into your company names, etc. You take repetitive phrases they use in their ads and turn them into links to your various websites, thus backlinking the heck out of our own sites. Now, thine enemies are posting thousands of different variations of my businesses upon many blogs all at the same time, and they are doing all the SEO for all of my related websites. The best part is with the word replacement, and phrase replacement, and the fact that its a blog, I have constantly changing content on my blogs that is also unique content! Even their ads disappear from yesbackpage and Craigslist over time, but I have thousands and thousands of posts, backlinks, blog pages indexed all over google that they wrote, the Wordfilter plus plugin re wrote, and they never ever disappear. This is another example of attaching a rotating mass of traffic to your own machinery and making them work for you. Just remember, if you are in the Right, look around carefully, you just might find that your footstool is right under your nose!
